Stuck
Not food, my weight. My weight is stuck. I can't seem to lose more weight. I'm still exercising, but I know I'm eating too much (why oh why can't I get restriction for more than a few days after a fill????). I don't seem to get the signal that I'm full properly. And I've been a bit low (I suffer from depression & anxiety) and emotional eating used to be my way through that. :(

Plans for today
Today I'm off to the gym to practice/train for my 5km walk! I'll set the treadmill to no incline (it's a flat walk on the day) and go for 5km. I have no idea how long it will take me or how hard/easy it will be.
Oh and good news, the scales finally let me breathe a little today. 104.4kg. Loss has certainly slowed in the last month, I guess that's probably normal. My less than perfect diet at the moment certainly wouldn't be helping. ;)

Look what I've signed up for!
MS Walk & Fun Run
I've never done anything like this before as I'd never been able to! I have had the urge for a while to do "something" like this and a few friends joined, so I thought "why not?". I can (CAN) achieve a personal goal of finishing something like this while supporting a great cause - the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society.
My family (husband & 2 small children) are coming along, and I've started a team with the hope of getting more on board. Our team name? Team Bandit!! LOL!
Now if there are any other Victorian Bandsters out there who want to come along and walk with a crappy-kneed bandit, go to the link above and search for my team and JOIN!!! If you want I can give you more details, just post a comment below.
I can't wait! Imagine it! Me, little old me, finishing a race! I don't care if I run, walk, crawl or roll, I just want to finish it.

Weigh in & NSV's
Well I might put it in tiny writing this week as I'm really not happy that I gained this week. I'm up to 105.2kg which is up 400gm on last week! Pfft.
BUT...
I had some NSV's which in all reality should counteract the crappy weigh in.
1. I kept a pair of my size 26 pants (cargo pants) from pre-surgery to do the whole "before and after" shot when I get to goal. Now they were never super tight on me, but they did fit me. I found them yesterday and tried them on and OH MY GOODNESS THEY'RE HUGE!!! They're like clown pants on me!! I hadn't really had a visual of how much weight I've lost until I got in them!! THAT was a great NSV, something to keep me going.
2. On Sunday I went to the gym and while previously my longest time of continual jogging had been 4 minutes before I thought I might die and had to go back to walking, this time I (wait for it) did 10 minutes straight!! I did 20 minutes total, with one 10 minute stint of jogging, one 3 and one 1 minute. I'm super proud of that effort!
3. Today I went to the gym and did a reasonable workout and then I came home and did some more (28 minutes to be exact) on the Wii Fit, which I haven't used in ages (it's so rude how it remembers when you were there last!!). I did so much better than before, and I'm happy I did more instead of just sitting here at the computer.
I'm taking multivitamins and iron tablets now, as my doctor thinks I could be a bit malnutritioned. We know my iron is too low, and my hair falling out when brushed/washed is a bit (just mildly) concerning. So hopefully I can get the old energy levels and health levels back up to scratch.
Anyway it's time for a shower and off to school to help out with a program for my daughter. Thanks for staying around reading!! Please remember to link me on your blog, I'd love new readers!

Just a suggestion...
Don't go to the gym on only a cup of coffee. DUH I hear you all say. Really, I should have known that too, but I did it anyway. I ran out of energy super quick today. I still did a reasonable work out but not as good as I could have.
But the good news is that Tuesday still loves me (and Monday still hates me) as today's weigh in was 104.8kg! That's 600gm down this week. Slow and steady I tell myself. The good thing about it is that I feel that my lifestyle now is "doable". I can keep this up longer term. I think if I went in all guns blazing with the exercise and super strict diet I wouldn't be able to stick to it for any decent period of time. But this way, I'm teaching myself a way to live long term, one that I can DO! Over time I'll improve it even more, but I know that even if I just keep up at this level, I can do it! I will have the new me and be able to keep the new me!

Time for a blog!
I thought I'd better come in and have a chat.
I have one NSV to tell you that I'm NOT happy about. I have to take my wedding and engagement ring off. :( They're no slipping off my finger but they're slipping around too much, and they'll wear together too much. I haven't lost enough for them to go on another finger yet, so for now, it's off. I won't get them resized until I've got to goal. So a good thing, but a bad thing all at once.
I went out for dinner last night for the first time since being banded (not counting trips to fast food with the family etc). I got what I thought would be a small meal, and it was STILL way too much for me to eat. Sitting there I realised that I'd have EASILY polished it all off pre-band, so this band... it's a good thing.
I have restriction. I'm not super super restricted but I'm also not super super hungry either. Does the "sweet spot" come with bells and whistles? I always thought that the way people spoke about it I'd just *know* (like that magical feeling when you're in love LOL), but this has seemed a very boring "oh yep, I think this is a good fill" type feeling. Doesn't really matter, as long as it's working. It was just a bit of a let down, that's all. LOL!
I went shopping with my Mum the other day and had to stop myself from the old habit of buying something because it fits. My purchase of 4 items in one shop was taken down to one nice, white shirt. I put back the two pairs of pants and the one casual hooded top that I was going to get even though they weren't *perfect* but that they fit. I don't need to do that anymore. Oh and the shirt was a size 20 - pre-band to get into a shirt (not just a "top" if you know what I mean) I'd have had to be a 26 for sure, so that's awesome! I wore it with my denim jeans (another thing I've only just started wearing again, I was never comfy in them when super fat) when we went out to dinner (was a pub meal before our school trivia night, not a really flash restaurant or anything).
Saturday I went to the gym (I'd missed Friday as I shopped instead) and I cannot believe how much exercise mojo I had! Instead of 30 minutes on the treadmill with 1 minute jog every 4 minutes, I did only 20 minutes on the treadmill but just under HALF of that was jogging!!! I can't believe I was able to! Maximum jog was about 3 minutes at once I think. Then I went pretty darn hard on the exercise bike and went 6km!! I've never been that far before. I was very proud of myself I have to say. And rightly so!
Anyway that's my story this week. I'm not sure there will be much movement on the scales this week (I wasn't all that well behaved with the table snacks at the trivia night) but I will be happy nonetheless, I am telling myself that. LOL!
